Every industry is different, as is every plant. The processing of raw materials, minerals and ores requires plant machinery and equipment to be operating efficiently at all times.
Demand around the world for gold continues to grow, with the mineral used in a diverse range of applications from jewellery, electronics, dentistry, coins & other industrial components.
Australia is among one of the world’s largest gold producers, with a number of large, long-established mining regions. The challenges for these mine operators is maintaining the efficiency of their plant & prolonging its lifecycle to ensure their continued productivity & profitability.
Australia also has a healthy greenfield approach to meeting global gold demands, with major projects in every stage from exploration & feasibility, through to construction & production.
Implementing smart solutions in these new plants will be key to their success.
From the ground to the final product, REMA TIP TOP offers effective products and engineered solutions paired with our ‘Smart Industry Solutions’ & preventative maintenance strategies to guarantee the performance, lifecycle, and maintenance costs of operating your plant.
The installation of a REMA Modular System at a gold plant in Western Australia has significantly increased throughput by eliminating wear in processing equipment.
The flexibility of the REMA Modular System allowed the lining to be installed quickly and efficiency in a variety of equipment sizes. Additionally, the highly wear resistant nature of the product has completely eliminated wear in the equipment, reducing maintenance costs and increasing throughput.
VIEW HEAVY WEAR PROTECTIONAt the beginning of 2018, REMA TIP TOP undertook an entire overhaul of mill feed screens at an Olympic Dam mine in South Australia.
To begin with the existing paint coating was sandblasted off the screens, both internally and externally. Then using an airless sprayer, the screens were coated with an industrial enamel paint, purpose designed to prevent corrosion, ensuring the integrity and longevity of the screen until its next scheduled maintenance.
VIEW ANTICAKINGOur safety approach to a recent major shutdown period at Olympic Dam’s processing facility drew praise from the highest levels of site management.
The shutdown saw the belts on the mill feed conveyor and the elevated conveyor system replaced without incident. All 14 conveyors within the concentrator were also inspected and serviced resulting in the replacement of more than 800 rollers. The work on the shutdown was widely congratulated by mine management, impressed by the team’s approach to the job setup and safety.
VIEW OUR SERVICESAt a gold ore processing plant in Papua New Guinea, REMA TIP TOP undertook a project to implement over 16,000m2 of CHEMOLINE rubber lining.
Despite a short time frame and challenging weather conditions including unpredictable rain and extreme humidity, the REAM TIP TOP team were able to plan and execute the project with precision and efficiency. To this day, the CHEMOLINE rubber lining is still performing strong and there have been no reported issues.
