Our HR team recently attended an international HR conference at the REMA TIP TOP headquarters in Germany, where they connected with colleagues from around the globe and shared valuable insights. The experience provided a fresh perspective on HR trends and highlighted the global nature of our company. Here’s a look at what they took away from the event:

Global Connections and Shared Challenges: For both Giulia and Danielle, the most memorable part of the conference was the opportunity to connect with HR colleagues from other countries. As Giulia shared, “It reminded us that we are part of a global company, facing similar challenges and opportunities, no matter where we are.” Building relationships with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds offered new perspectives and reinforced the importance of thinking globally rather than just nationally.

Focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): A key theme of the conference was the growing focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. Danielle noted, “Implementing DEI initiatives can help create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees, making REMA TIP TOP a place where top talent thrives.” The team is looking forward to applying these initiatives to enhance retention and foster a positive workplace culture.

Takeaways for REMA TIP TOP: The HR team emphasized the importance of continuously adapting to new trends and best practices. Learning from their international counterparts, they identified areas where we can improve our employee engagement, recognition programs, and talent management strategies. Giulia pointed out that “recognition programs in other countries play a crucial role in retaining top performers, and we could benefit from adopting similar practices.”

Visit to REMA HQ: Visiting the REMA TIP TOP headquarters and the REMA Academy was a standout moment for both team members. It offered a firsthand look at the research and innovation behind the products and processes that drive our business globally. Danielle said, “Experiencing the work environment at HQ and seeing the training resources available was truly inspiring.”

Looking Ahead: Both Giulia and Danielle are excited to implement the lessons learned at the conference. “We’re keen to apply these insights to create a more inclusive and engaged workforce, while using technology to improve efficiency across HR practices,” Giulia explained.

The experience not only provided professional development but also strengthened their connection to the global REMA TIP TOP community, a connection they are eager to share with the wider team.
